net neutrality
Like the Equal Protection Clause but for the internet.
A set of regulations that were like the Equal Protection Clause for internet content. Net neutrality forbids internet service providers (ISPs) from discriminating against certain internet content.
Under net neutrality, ISPs must treat all data online the same and can't slow down or limit access to certain websites, data, traffic, or content.
In 2018, the federal administration repealed the net neutrality regulations despite widespread efforts in Congress to fight the repeal. This action led to several states enacting their own net neutrality laws.
